Call for Artists
PARK TERRACE GARDENS – CALL FOR NY BASED ARTISTS!
The Lobby Art Committee (LAC) of Park Terrace Gardens is inviting all NY based artists to apply to have their artwork displayed on our lobby walls This invitation reflects our intent to celebrate the work of NY artists and reach a broad audience. Our focused theme for this call is “garden, flowers and nature.” We welcome applications from those working in all art mediums. Each artist whose work is selected will receive a one-time $150 stipend for the display of the artwork.
The submission guidelines are as follows:
- Artists can submit photographs of up to six (6) pieces of original artwork for consideration. AI-generated or enhanced work is not eligible.
- The subject matter should be suitable for a general audience and fit within the Garden, Flowers and Nature theme.
- Art that is suitable for installation in standard frame sizes is preferred, such as (minimum size); 18” x 24”; and 24 x 36” (maximum size). Art submitted outside of these dimensions will be considered if space allows.
- Deadline for submission: September 14, 2026
- Date of acceptance notification for original artwork: Early October 2026
To apply, please complete the form below and submit it with one (1) photograph of each piece of original art. Please send the completed form and photograph to: ptglobbyart@gmail.com
Note: All original artwork submitted will be evaluated and voted upon for acceptance by the LAC in conjunction with the PTG Board of Directors. Accepted work to be displayed can either be the original or a professional copy of same. The artwork will be displayed on the walls of each building for a specific amount of time with the intent of rotation between lobbies. Submission of artwork does not ensure acceptance; the review committee retains the right to decline the artwork for public display. Please note that if there is a considerable difference between the submitted photograph and the work itself, we retain the right not to display the work.
As this is an exhibition-only opportunity, the original artwork chosen will not be installed as for sale nor will there be any external labels adjacent to the work with identification information. A notice will be posted in each lobby providing a QR code to obtain further information pertaining to the installed works. Additionally, a listing of all work by lobby with artist bio information will be posted in the PTG BuildingLink Library in the LobbyArt directory and also, on www.ollomart.com, an Inwood-based art forum for the promotion of artistic expression.
This application call is being distributed initially to PTG residents and local art organizations; if you know of other NY based artists who might be interested, feel free to forward the link to this page.
