BIO
Marlene Tholl is a writer, musician and actress. Graduating from Boston University with a Bachelor’s in English literature and education, she has since written, produced and performed in theater Off-Off Broadway and regionally, and has appeared as a vocalist on stages as varied as CBGB, La Mama and Lincoln Center Out of Doors. Her solo album Kore, along with its accompanying poetry, received national attention when it released, and continues to get substantial college and internet radio play. She recently contributed multiple vocals for composer Melika Fitzhugh’s Virgil: Audiit, which debuted at The Electro-Acoustic Barndance, University of Mary Washington in November 2016, and is the voice of Emily Dickinson in the soon to premiere Vlada Petric film In The Name of the Bee. Marlene is currently front woman of Boston-based ambient rock band Rose Cabal and is working on a collection of poems.
